Clothing care in Seattle

Rinse is dedicated to sustainability, too. Here are a few actions we take to protect the environment: 

  • Rinse defaults to cold water. Washing in cold can save up to 90% of the energy spent on washing laundry - and it’s better for your clothes!
  • Rinse uses high-efficiency washing machines. This means up to 50% less water is used when compared to traditional, at-home washing machines, resulting in millions of gallons of water saved each year.
  • Rinse is perc-free. Perchloroethylene, or “perc” for short, is a popular solvent used in dry cleaning that is a known carcinogen and can have a hazardous impact on your health and the environment.  We only work with dry cleaning partners who use environmentally friendly cleaning processes, and none of our partners use perc.
  • Rinse accepts clothing donations. Just let you Valet know you have items for donation and we’ll make sure they make it to a local charity and stay out of landfills!
  • Rinse offers a repair service. Broken zipper or missing buttons? Reduce your carbon footprint by letting us fix your garments instead of throwing them out.
  • We recycle clothing hangers. Don’t want to keep the clothing hangers that your crisply pressed Dry Cleaning is returned on? Just hand them over to your Valet and we’ll take care of them.
